Like his ancestors, Kevin Sobels, along with his wife Margaret and son Jason, share the love of and dedication to the wine industry, operating their Hunter Valley winery which proudly bears their family name.
All the log timber used in the construction of the winery is white mahogany and was sourced from high in the mountains near Ellalong. The centrepiece, 9.5 metres tall, was planted more as a feature than main roof support.
The winery is open seven days a week. If the door is open or the lights are on, you and your friends are welcome to come in and taste their wines, in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The barbecue and picnic facilities are free to use, and if time permits, people can have a quick look and a discussion about the processing procedures.
