  You will be surprised.....positively. What a wonderful country pub, initially we planned to go for dinner in Mansfield down the road, but driving 20 minutes to and back was not something we wanted to do. We decided to give the Huntclub a go (driven past dozens of times) and we were not disappointed. This is what a real country pub should look like. Nothing is too polished and over the top (a positive for me), the service was fine and the food was great, had a great night, can really recommend.

  The authentically friendly staff generously served up a second dessert on the house - both were truly delicious! They produced one of the best steaks I have ever eaten - cooked to perfection! (Another of the best steaks I have ever eaten was the one I had here the last time I came!)

  Was seriously impressed. Was expecting standard pub fare but both our meals (steak and lamb roast) were excellent, as were the side salads that came with the kids fish and chips. The kids liked their fish and chips, obviously we did not get to try these. Also had a really good, friendly, family vibe, the tone was set by the owners / staff but the customers were also friendly and mindful. Would definitely recommend.

  Beautiful little place. Staff were lovely and friendly, so was 'Cricket' the little Chihuahua. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was so inviting. Really a lovely place to stop into.

  Pretty decent for pub grub. Has certainly improved from the old owners. A bit phancy by having some coloured veggies other than orange, green and beige. Pretty good beer selection too.
