  Went on a school night (Thursday if I'm correct) so the place was quite empty, not that I mind. The food was tasty but what I was really impressed with was the cocktail menu. Lots of options and different tastes to suit everyone. Our waiter informed us that they have live piano on Friday and different event on Sunday. So it would be probably best to go one of those days and to be on the safe side book a table.

  Weekend Food Escapes 4

  My friend had her 30th birthday at the Victoria Room which involved lots of girls dressing up and enjoying high tea. It's a great venue but I always find it to be so dark and therefore it makes you feel drunk when you're not (even when you've yet to have any alcohol). The sandwiches were good and the sugary treats were very tasty. A good spot if you want to spoil yourself along with some good friends.

  A fantastic atmosphere joined with some inspired cocktails and food make this a must visit lounge. The best night to visit is actually Sunday night, when they bring in a variety of acts to entertain. They have a small band/singer singing good, relaxing lounge songs in between acts of belly dancing, pole performances and even some aerial acts. The food is scrumptious enough to match the twisting and twirling bodies. Definitely check it out if you feel like something different on a Sunday!

  Had High Tea here today and it was lovely! It's a great atmosphere here; for more relaxed than the hotels where the lighting is bright and it's all very formal... The Victoria Room has a more casual feel and plays some great tunes - Walk on the wild side by Lou Reed was playing as we walked in :) The food was good but not great. The scones were small and didn't have that nice crunch on top, although the cream was really nice. I really enjoyed 2 of the sweets, 1 was just nice, and the macaron was disappointing. The sandwiches were all lovely, but the smoked salmon was just lacking something... Service was good and the tea was nice and hot.

  Walking up the stairs to the Victoria Room is like stepping back in time, they have got the atmosphere and decor spot on, it really is special! We had dinner there and the food was brilliant, as were the cocktails before hand. All in all this is a great spot for dinner or just drinks but, make sure to bring your credit card because its not cheap.
